With NetSuite in place, CalfTech gained consolidated reporting, stronger financial control, and better visibility across its growing multi-entity cattle and agriculture business.
As CalfTech’s calf-raising business grew across multiple entities, QuickBooks could no longer support its financial complexity. Moving to Oracle NetSuite brought accounting, purchasing, inventory, receivables, intercompany activity, and reporting into one system, giving management clearer visibility, stronger control, and better support for continued growth.
CalfTech Corporation is one of the West Coast’s largest custom calf-raising operations, based in Tipton, California. Raising beef-on-dairy calves since 1988, the company runs both buy-and-sell and contract feeding programs. Its calf-care approach centers on gut health, nutrition, and low-stress management, with cattle approved under five IMI Global certification and export programs.

Oracle NetSuite SuiteSuccess Financials Standard
Business entities unified in NetSuite, strengthening multi-entity accounting, intercompany control, and consolidated financial reporting across CalfTech.
Core business processes moved into NetSuite, covering financial management, purchasing, inventory, sales, returns, and reporting.
Critical financial data sets migrated into NetSuite, including customers, vendors, inventory, transactions, and historical balances.
Structured post-go-live support helped CalfTech’s finance team adopt new processes, resolve issues, and operate NetSuite confidently.
CalfTech raises calves at scale while managing both company-owned and customer cattle across a broader group of business entities. QuickBooks made consolidated reporting, intercompany accounting, purchasing, inventory, and financial oversight increasingly difficult, leaving management without the level of visibility and control a growing operation required.
As CalfTech grew, QuickBooks could no longer support the financial complexity, reporting depth, and controls the business needed.
Multiple companies and trusts created growing demands around intercompany accounting, subsidiary management, and consolidated financial reporting.
Leadership had no live view of cash position, entity-level performance, or group-wide financials without waiting for month-end reports.
Purchasing, inventory, payables, receivables, and accounting lacked the connected structure needed to manage a growing operation efficiently.
CalfTech implemented NetSuite SuiteSuccess Financials Standard across its business structure, covering core financials, intercompany accounting and consolidation, advanced financials, reporting, procurement, payables, receivables, and inventory. Historical balances and open transactions were migrated into the new system, giving finance a more consistent way to manage activity across entities.
The implementation followed NetSuite’s SuiteSuccess methodology, starting with CalfTech’s entity structure and finance processes before moving through configuration, data migration, user walkthroughs, UAT, and go-live. This phased approach helped carry existing financial data into NetSuite while giving teams time to validate how the new processes would work day-to-day.
CalfTech’s entity structure, accounting processes, reporting needs, and approval flows were mapped before NetSuite configuration began.
SuiteSuccess Financials was configured around subsidiaries, intercompany activity, purchasing, inventory, receivables, banking, and reporting.
Master records, opening balances, inventory, open transactions, and historical financial balances were migrated and validated before final cutover.
Process walkthroughs, user training, UAT, final migration, and post-launch support helped CalfTech transition into NetSuite with tested processes.
NetSuite SuiteSuccess Financials Standard wasn't placed in as a generic accounting tool. Every module was configured around CalfTech's actual entity structure, procurement workflows, inventory needs, and reporting requirements, giving the finance team one place to run the entire financial operation, from cattle commodity purchasing to consolidated group reporting.
CalfTech’s subsidiaries were structured inside NetSuite, giving finance one consistent way to manage accounting across the wider business group.
Intercompany activity and consolidation were configured in NetSuite, reducing the complexity of managing transactions and reporting across related entities.
Standard financial statements and reporting were centralized in NetSuite, giving management a clearer view across entities without relying on separate reporting processes.
Purchase orders, receipts, vendor bills, payments, credits, and employee expenses now follow a more consistent process inside NetSuite.
Commodities and medicines can be managed through item records, inventory transactions, adjustments, and average costing within the same financial system.
Customer records, sales orders, invoices, payments, returns, and credit memos were brought into NetSuite to support more consistent receivables management.
Bank feeds, deposits, checks, and reconciliation were configured within NetSuite, giving the finance team a more structured way to manage cash activity.
Expense allocations, statistical accounts, amortization schedules, budgeting, and custom financial segments give CalfTech greater depth in how financial activity is tracked and reported.
With NetSuite live, CalfTech can manage accounting, purchasing, inventory, receivables, intercompany activity, and consolidated reporting through one financial system. Finance teams have a more consistent way to work across entities, while management gets a clearer view of the business without piecing information together across separate processes.
Leadership gets a clearer financial picture across entities, helping teams make faster, better-informed business decisions.
CalfTech can manage greater organizational complexity without losing consistency, visibility, or financial control across the business.
More consistent accounting and intercompany processes reduce errors, strengthen controls, and support more reliable financial oversight.
Finance teams spend less time reconciling disconnected records and more time reviewing performance and business priorities.
Management gains a clearer view of receivables, payables, inventory, and banking activity across the organization.
CalfTech can support future expansion and operational integration without rebuilding the financial processes behind the business.
